Why Join A Small Group?
We believe that real life-change happens in a community. That’s why we gather in small groups where we can be known, loved and challenged.
Our Wellspring Groups are created to facilitate meaningful connections, allowing you to grow closer to others and God.
Find Lasting Community
We believe that growth can happen in many ways, but community-driven, rich growth happens in groups. We are not meant to walk alone – we need each other! It is our hope and prayer that the people of our city will fall in love with Jesus, build authentic community together, and be people who share the good news of Jesus with others. This gospel is for everybody and everyone has a place here.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many people are in a Small Group?
A Small Group is a gathering of 6–12 people who meet regularly to grow in their relationship with Jesus and with one another. At Wellspring, we believe life change happens best in a community where people are known, loved, and challenged.
When can I join a Small Group?
You can join a Small Group at the beginning of any semester. Wellspring offers three Small Group semesters each year, making it easy to jump into community and find the right fit for your season of life.
How long is a Small Group semester?
Wellspring Small Groups follow three semesters throughout the year:
- Winter/Spring: February – May (9 weeks)
- Summer: June – July (6 weeks)
- Fall: September – November (9 weeks)
These semester breaks provide natural opportunities for rest, leadership development, and launching new groups.
How often do Small Groups meet?
Most groups meet weekly, but some meet every other week, depending on the group’s schedule. We believe God has community for you, and if you’re willing you will find a group that works for you!
What happens during a typical Small Group meeting?
While every group is unique, most gatherings include:
- Connection and conversation
- Discussion around Scripture or an approved study
- Prayer and encouragement
- The next practical steps for spiritual growth
Who are Small Groups for?
Anybody and everybody! These are opportunities for friendship and spiritual growth, no fuss about it.
What if I can’t attend every meeting?
That’s okay. We understand that life happens. Consistent attendance helps build stronger relationships, but don’t let a busy schedule keep you from joining a group.
Where do Small Groups meet?
Groups meet in a variety of locations, including homes, coffee shops, restaurants, pickleball courts and parks. Each group’s location is listed in its description.
